Facebook allows people to stay in touch while exercising social distance

NY Times:

Facebook Is ‘Just Trying to Keep the Lights On’ as Traffic Soars in Pandemic

The social network is straining to deal with skyrocketing usage as its 45,000 employees work
from home for the first time.
It has not been smooth.  On the first day, posts were taken down because of a runaway AI saying normal things were against Facebook community standards.  Even after that glitch was fixed there were times the site was balky at best.  It is more likely to bog down at certain points.

But all in all, it is still a good resource for not only staying in touch with friends and family but also with the news.  With so many of the mainstream media outlets resorting to a paywall, Facebook has become a go-to site for breaking news.
