 Washington Examiner: Actor Matthew McConaughey lashed out at people on the “far-left,” calling them “arrogant” and condescending in an interview with fellow actor Russell Brand. “On the far left, there is a lot [of people] on that illiberal left that absolutely condescend, patronize, and are arrogant toward the other 50%,”  McConaughey said . “Many people, I’m sure you saw it, in our industry when Trump was voted in four years ago, they were in denial that it was actually real. NY Times: G.O.P. Scrambles to Respond to Public Demands for Police Overhaul Republicans have been startled by the extent to which public opinion has shifted in recent days after the killings of unarmed black Americans by the police and the protests that have followed. Polls show that over 70 percent of Americans including 51 percent of black Americans are satisfied with the police .  We should not accept the position that because liberal run cities are screwed up that all cities are.  The so-called reforms in places like New York and Los Angeles have made the cities less safe.  Murder rates are skyrocketing in some Democrat-controlled cities as they pull back policing.  The defund the police movement is a radical dream with no strong public support outside of a few liberal wacko enclaves like Minneapolis.  Liberalism is the problem and not policing in most of these cities.  Chicago also seems adrift in violence .
