Texas has a feral hog problem
Houston Chronicle: Homeowners, farmers and wildlife control specialists have been locked in a bitter war for years—and it's a war they appear to be losing. According to experts in and around the Houston area, the region's population of feral hogs just keeps growing . "It's one of the major issues we deal with and one of the main issues Texas landowners deal with without a doubt," Jamie Sugg, the Texas A&M Agrilife extension agent in Walker County north of Houston, told Houston Public Media's Robert Salinas . Sugg told Salinas that the war against the destructive beasts is a more or less constant struggle for rural communities especially. "It's not a case of if you have a hog problem, but when. They are everywhere," Sugg said of Houston area residents' fight against the invasion, per Salinas.
