Trending Politics: For almost 30 years, New Jersey has been a stronghold for the Democratic Party. However, that could all be about to change as the political winds of change are breezing through the Garden State, and it smells a lot like rebellion. On the surface, it may look like your typical suburban liberal paradise. However, the working class is quietly rising in revolt against what they believe are failed Democratic policies that have destroyed their livelihood and stripped them of their God-given rights.   Epoch Times: New Jersey  Senate President Steve Sweeney, one of the most powerful Democrats in the state, conceded that he lost his reelection to truck driver Edward Durr. “I of course accept the results. I want to congratulate Mr. Durr and wish him the best of luck,” Sweeney said during a speech on Wednesday in the statehouse, conceding that a “red wave” in his district caused him to lose his longtime seat. “There were 12,000 more people that voted at this time than in 2017,” the Democrat told reporters. Durr, a Raymour & Flanigan furniture truck driver, ran a  low-budget campaign  and shot a campaign video on a smartphone. A political newcomer, Durr defeated Sweeney by more than 2,000 votes in New Jersey’s 3rd District. ... The two waged tense campaigns and Murphy presented himself as a solid progressive. Ciattarelli tried to paint Murphy as out of touch with the average voter and was critical of his leadership during the COVID-19 epidemic. ... Murphy office warned 'patients will die' before ordering COVID patients into nursing homes: report   'Patients will die,' an administrator reportedly told Murphy's office. ...   "Patients will die," the administrator said. "You understand that by asking us to take COVID patients, by demanding we take COVID patients, that patients will die in nursing homes that wouldn't have otherwise died had we screened them out." ... "The problem, of course, is there is no separating safely," they continued. "It’s almost certain that even though you have staff only on that unit, something will migrate." ...  PJ Media: Atlas Gym has been continuously harassed by the government of New Jersey for refusing to shut its doors or impose mask mandates on its clients. Owner Ian Smith has  made headlines for staying open despite orders from the state to close up shop . ... The governor has a serious problem. It does not look like the gym is full of sick people. If there have been few if any cases emanating from this gym, what is really the point of the shutdown?

Bloomberg/Yahoo: Rhode Island police began stopping cars with New York plates Friday. On Saturday, the National Guard will help them conduct house-to-house searches to find people who traveled from New York and demand 14 days of self-quarantine. “Right now we have a pinpointed risk,” Governor Gina Raimondo said. “That risk is called New York City.” New York is the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., on Friday reporting a total of 44,000 cases. Rhode Island has just over 200, and it has begun an aggressive campaign to keep the virus out and New Yorkers contained, over objections from civil liberties advocates. ... The CDC has issued a travel advisory for people from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut which is the current hot spot for the virus.  The death toll is over 2,000 from the virus and climbing.
