The strange investigations of Musk

ALX on Twitter, i.e. X reports: Jesse Watters on the Biden DOJ launching a second investigation into Elon Musk: “We have a hunch these investigations have less to do about glass houses and more to do with Biden exacting revenge on Musk for buying Twitter — the greatest psyop the Democrats have ever owned” Twitter had become a DNC propaganda outfit under previous management and is now a free speech platform.  It just goes to prove that some Democrats don't believe in the 1st Amendment.  They are starting to give Musk the same treatment they have given Trump.  They just can't tolerate those who do not agree with their narrative.

Open borders a threat to the nation

Will Witt: Illegal aliens storm the Texas border by the thousands and no one seems to care. Republican politicians talk a big game about stopping it, but nothing they propose ever seems to work. The Democrats are even worse. They fund so-called “sanctuary cities” in blue states all across America, helping to shield illegals and labelling them as “undocumented migrants” instead. The message is clear: enter a nation illegally, and you’re just a piece of paper away from full-ride citizenship. It might make progressives feel virtuous to pretend otherwise, but the fact remains that illegal immigration costs the United States billions of dollars every year. Our porous borders facilitate human trafficking, drug smuggling, and gang crime. One in seven people in America are immigrants, with nearly a third of this figure falling under the “undocumented” label. If accepting the world’s migrants is the ultimate act of charity, it is one the West will increasingly struggle to afford. In Californi

Officials distracted by climate kook operation during Afghan debacle

Daily Wire: In the midst of the Biden administration’s disastrous military withdrawal from Afghanistan, top Pentagon officials were working to get the Secretary of Defense to sign a major climate change initiative, according to emails obtained by The Daily Wire. In the two weeks between the fall of Kabul to the Taliban on August 15, 2021, and the final U.S. military flight out of Afghanistan on August 30, Pentagon officials were scrambling with the White House to finalize the Department of Defense Climate Adaptation Plan, a document that declares climate change a major national security risk. The emails indicate frustration from climate change-focused Pentagon officials at the difficulty of getting the plan signed — but that ultimately their determination to focus on climate change even during the Afghanistan withdrawal paid off. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin signed the climate initiative on September 1, just six days after 13 Americans were killed by a Taliban suicide bomber. Jam

Georgia Trump indictment fails to disclose material facts

Eddie Scarry: ... The letter said that new evidence of “Large scale Voter Fraud” in Georgia had been reported in a local newspaper called the Georgia Star News, with an attached article claiming that more than 40,000 absentee ballots counted in DeKalb County were improperly tallied because they had not been documented upon their receipt by the appropriate official, as required by state election rules. “I would respectfully request that your department check this,” Trump wrote in the letter, “and, if true, along with many other claims of voter fraud and voter irregularities, start the process of decertifying the Election, or whatever the correct legal remedy is, and announce the true winner.” None of that context is in the indictment, nor the Times article, nor the Axios report. And it’s essentially the same request from Trump that he delivered in the now infamous “perfect phone call” he made to Raffensperger and other Georgia election officials in January 2021. The media enjoy short-

Biden administration accused of taking agricultural land out of production

Fox News: The state of Montana filed a legal motion against the Biden administration over its decision to permit a billionaire-backed organization to lease large swaths of public property for non-agriculture uses. In a motion for summary judgment filed with the Department of Interior's Office of Hearings and Appeals late last week, Montana alleged a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) rule issued in 2022 unlawfully prioritizes non-production "conservation herds" over livestock production and the state's rural ranching communities. In July 2022, BLM granted a request to the American Prairie Reserve (APR) to graze bison across leased federal lands. "The BLM’s final decision granting a general use permit to graze bison is a direct attack on rural communities — attacks that have become a hallmark of the Biden Administration," Knudsen told Fox News Digital in a statement. "The BLM has bent over backward to circumvent the law and approve APR’s plan to turn hun

Evidence of Biden influence-pedaling operation grows

Washington Examiner: House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said the latest findings in his committee’s investigation show President “ Joe Biden’s role in this family influence-peddling scheme continues to grow on a daily basis.” Comer told Fox News host Sean Hannity that a timeline of financial activity and communications between Biden, who was vice president at the time, and his son Hunter suggests “he was front and center in this.” Comer said that because the National Archives and Records Administration is not cooperating with providing emails with pseudonyms Biden used while vice president, an impeachment inquiry is “imminent.” “I am here to tell you, Sean, Joe Biden was front and center,” Comer said. “He met with every one of these people that he claimed he never met with, that he never spoke to, and we are putting together the timeline where Hunter Biden was traveling to many of these countries on Air Force Two while Joe Biden was vice president.” Comer cont

Republicans still support Trump

DNYUZ: The Thing Is, Most Republicans Really Like Trump ... Republican voters see the same polls that I do, showing Mr. Trump effectively tied against Mr. Biden even though commentators tell them that Mr. Trump is electoral poison. And they remember that many of those same voices told them in 2016 that Mr. Trump would never set foot in the White House. In light of those facts, Republicans’ skepticism of claims that Mr. Trump is a surefire loser begins to make more sense. ... But by the end of the spring 2023, following the Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg’s indictment of Mr. Trump and Mr. DeSantis’s rocky entrance into the presidential race, not only had Mr. Trump regained his lead, he had expanded upon it. Quinnipiac’s polling of Republican primary voters showed that Mr. Trump held only a six-point lead over Mr. DeSantis in February , but that lead had grown to a whopping 31 points by May . Any notion that Republicans ought to turn the page, lest they face another electoral d

Massive Ukraine drone strikes hit Russian planes and other targets

ISW: Ukrainian forces reportedly destroyed four Russian Il-76 planes during a drone strike on a Russian airfield in Pskov Oblast on the night of August 29 to 30. Ukrainian Main Military Intelligence Directorate (GUR) Representative Andriy Yusov stated that the drone strike destroyed four Russian Il-76 planes and possibly damaged two other planes at the Pskov airfield but did not comment on the nature of the strike or claim responsibility for it.[1] Geolocated footage and Russian sources confirmed the strike and the destruction of at least two Russian Il-76 planes.[2] Russian milbloggers claimed that over 21 Ukrainian drones struck the Pskov airfield.[3] Russian sources, including the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD), claimed that Russian air defenses and electronic warfare (EW) systems also downed Ukrainian drones over Oryol, Tula, Voronezh, Ryazan, Kaluga, Bryansk, and Moscow oblasts.[4] Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that Russian air defenses repelled a massive Ukrainian drone
