 NY Times: An Anxious Asia Arms for a War It Hopes to Prevent Doubts about both China and the United States are driving an arms race in the Indo-Pacific with echoes of World War II and new levels of risk. Many countries hope that stronger militaries will discourage China, but the buildup also reflects declining confidence in America. And: As traditional weapons suppliers like the U.S. face shortages, South Korea has stepped in to fill the gap. China is seen as a threat to other Asian countries, yet it is questionable whether it will remain a threat as its population shrinks and its domination of world trade continues to take a hit.  South Korea is probably one of the strongest military countries in the region outside of China.  I suspect that Taiwan is also militarizing in an effort to resist the Chicom ambitions. 

 Thomas Lifson: The shooting of six Asian massage parlor workers and three Caucasians in Georgia has prompted a massively dishonest media campaign to blame "white supremacy" for violence against Asian-Americans.  Andrew Sullivan documented the fraud well in this justly renowned  essay  on Substack, titled "When the narrative replaces the news."
