Gazan and Israelis support Trump ceasefire

NY Post: Jubilant locals in both Gaza and Israel took to the streets early Thursday to celebrate President Trump for his role in the historic cease-fire deal — with many calling for him to get the Nobel Peace Prize . Footage from both the streets of Tel Aviv and war-torn Gaza showed crowds of revelers celebrating what they hope will be the end of the two-year war as they hailed Trump for helping secure the deal. “Donald Trump! Donald Trump!,” residents in Gaza could be heard cheering after the news broke Wednesday night. “Nobel Prize to Trump,” those in Tel Aviv’s Hostage Square cheered as they waved American flags and danced. Trump’s plan calls for an immediate cease-fire, an exchange of all the 48 hostages, a staged withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza, the disarmament of Hamas, and the creation of a transitional government spearheaded by an international body. ... The conflict in Gaza began with the mass murder of Jewish civilians.  Israel responded with a dominant a...

A mixed decision by court on Trump attempt to restore order in Portland

Trending Politics: A federal appeals court on Wednesday lifted a temporary order blocking President Donald Trump’s control over Oregon’s National Guard soldiers, handing him another victory in his crusade to restore peace to blue cities through a show of strength. The decision, however, stops short of allowing Trump to ultimately deploy the troops to Portland, who were told to stand down by U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut earlier this week. The Trump-appointed judge also ordered the administration not to deploy the National Guard to other parts of the state, a decision that stays in place for now. A three-judge panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit wrote in a brief memo that its decision helps ensure the “status quo.” “The effect of granting an administrative stay preserves the status quo in which National Guard members have been federalized but not deployed,” they wrote. The panel, comprising two Trump appointees and one Clinton appointee, will hear oral argum...

Trump administration to investigate left-wing groups

Reuters: President Donald Trump's threatened crackdown on the finances and activities of liberal non-profits and groups opposed to his agenda is a multi-agency effort with top White House aide Stephen Miller playing a central role, according to officials. The Trump administration plans to deploy America's counter-terrorism apparatus - including the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department - as well as the Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department against certain left-wing groups it accuses of funding and organizing political violence, the officials said. ... "Left-wing organizations have fueled violent riots, organized attacks against law enforcement officers, coordinated illegal doxing campaigns, arranged drop points for weapons and riot materials, and more," the White House said in a statement to Reuters. Miller did not respond to a request for comment. Two weeks after the September 10 assassination of conservative activist Ch...

Illinois has a problem

BBC: President Donald Trump has called for the jailing of Illinois officials, accusing them of not doing enough to ensure the safety of federal immigration officers who are conducting raids in Chicago. The president wrote in a social media post that Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, both Democrats, "should be in jail for failing to protect Ice Officers!" Trump has previously called the city a "war zone" amid protests against immigration enforcement. Pritzker has called the president's actions "authoritarian". The Republican president spoke as hundreds of National Guard troops arrived in the city as part of his immigration crackdown. The standoff raises the temperature in an already heated rhetorical battle between Trump and local officials in Democratic-led cities and states. The Chicago mayor quickly fired back at Trump, saying "this is not the first time Trump has tried to have a Black man unjustly arrested. I...

Biden FBI accused of spying on Senators

Trending Politics: A newly released FBI document has ignited a political firestorm on Capitol Hill, with top Republicans accusing the Biden administration of weaponizing federal law enforcement against its political opponents. According to Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the document shows that the FBI secretly conducted toll-record analysis on eight Republican senators as part of its controversial “Arctic Frost” investigation — a probe that later became Special Counsel Jack Smith’s “elector” case against then former President Donald Trump. Grassley published the document Monday morning, calling it proof that the FBI “spied” on sitting senators without proper justification. The one-page memo, dated September 27, 2023, is marked “UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO” and titled “CAST Assistance.” It reveals that the Washington Field Office authorized preliminary toll analysis — a review of call and text records — on limited phone numbers tied to several high-profile lawmakers. The memo lists Senators...

Trump looks to reduce drug prices

Blaze: Trump launches 'TrumpRx' to slash drug prices — and even brings Pfizer on board With his new plan to end 'global price gouging,' Trump forces Big Pharma to the table.  President Trump announced earlier this week his effort aimed at lowering drug costs, which includes the creation of a “TrumpRx” website, where Americans can buy medicine at a discount — and somehow got Pfizer to agree to join him. “The United States is done subsidizing the health care of the rest of the world,” Trump said. “By taking this bold step, we’re ending the era of global price gouging at the expense of American families.” ... This should be especially helpful to those who can't afford healthcare insurance.

Hamas given a deadline

Newsmax: Trump Sets Sunday Deadline for Hamas to Accept Deal or Face 'All Hell' President Donald Trump on Friday morning gave Hamas until 6 p.m. Sunday to accept a sweeping U.S.-brokered peace plan with Israel, warning that failure to do so will unleash “all HELL, like no one has ever seen before.” In a searing Truth Social post, Trump wrote that the terror group has long been a “ruthless and violent threat” and the group carried out the Oct. 7 “MASSACRE” in Israel, killing “babies, women, children, old people, and many young men and women, boys and girls, getting ready to celebrate their future lives together.” He declared that more than 25,000 Hamas fighters have already been killed since the attack, during which more than 1,200 people were slaughtered and more than 250 kidnapped to Gaza. There are believed to be 48 hostages still being held in Gaza, only 20 of whom are thought to be alive. The president said most of the remaining terrorists are “surrounded and MILITARILY TR...

UN employees tried to sabotage Trump speech

Daily Signal: ... It was scheduled to be 15 minutes—but on the other hand, if the U.N. membership was shocked at the candor of Donald Trump, Donald Trump had ample reasons to be candid because before he even gave the speech, he and first lady Melania Trump and their entourage were just, the minute they got on the escalator, it mysteriously shut down. And by the way, the London Times had run a story saying that some members wanted to shut it down in protest of Trump’s cutting back on U.N. support. That was an odd thing to happen. No. 2 was the teleprompter suddenly went out. But the escalator, by this time, was mysteriously back in service and the teleprompter would be too. And then, three, unbeknownst to Donald Trump, people, reporters, and even first lady Melania Trump said you couldn’t hear Trump. All of a sudden, mysteriously, his sound was—what do you want to call it Deamplified? And then fourth, for a minute, the translation did not come into English to the membership, but t...

Trump targets Dem priorities during shutdown

Daily Signal: Speaker of the House Mike Johnson put the blame for any shutdown cuts on the Democratic Party Thursday, as he backed up President Donald Trump’s talk of slashing unwanted programs. “This is the way the system works. This is [Senate Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer’s decision, is to hand … the keys to the kingdom to the president. He has put himself in that situation, and it’s completely unnecessary. The president takes no pleasure in this,” said Johnson, R-La. The federal government has entered its second day of its partial shutdown, as Democrats have refused to provide the votes necessary to consider a seven-week stopgap funding bill. Johnson’s remarks followed Trump’s morning Truth Social post, in which he wrote, “I have a meeting today with [Office of Management and Budget director] Russ Vought, he of PROJECT 2025 Fame, to determine which of the many Democrat Agencies, most of which are a political SCAM, he recommends to be cut, and whether or not those cuts will...

Democrats accused of threats to ICE officials

Federalist Wire: ... President Donald Trump is firing back at Democrats, demanding they halt their vicious attacks on law enforcement following a horrific shooting at an ICE facility in Texas that left two illegal immigrant detainees dead and another wounded. The assailant, 29-year-old Joshua John, unleashed gunfire on the Dallas ICE building early Wednesday morning, according to local police. Investigators discovered shell casings etched with “anti-ICE” messages, pointing to a clear motive driven by hatred toward border enforcement. Trump didn’t mince words in his response, blasting the attack as utterly reprehensible and tying it directly to the toxic words coming from the left. “This is despicable!” Trump stated. “The Brave Men and Women of ICE are just trying to do their jobs, and remove the ‘WORST of the WORST’ Criminals out of our Country, but they are facing an unprecedented increase in threats, violence, and attacks by Deranged Radical Leftists.” The president made it crys...

Trump negotiates deal for lower drug prices

Reuters: Pfizer (PFE.N) , President Donald Trump on Tuesday said they had cut a deal in which the U.S.-based drugmaker agreed to lower prescription drug prices in the Medicaid program to what it charges in other developed countries in exchange for tariff relief. Trump also said Pfizer would offer that most-favored-nation pricing on all new drugs launched in the U.S. and flagged that other drugmakers will follow suit. ... This is a good deal.  Americans should not have to pay more for American drugs than they are sold to people in other countries.

Hegseth complains about fat troops

In his speech today, Trump said the military had a problem with fat troops. When I was going through Marine Corps OCS, the fat candidates did not make it.  They did not become officers and were given billets pushing paper instead of push-ups.  They couldn't survive a 20-mile hike or the Hill Trail. When I was the executive officer of a rifle company in Vietnam, I don't recall any of my Marines being out of shape.  Most of the time, we were moving through the jungles looking for the NVA.  By midday, our jungle utilities were soaking wet from sweat.  I also had stops at Dong Ha, Quang Tri, and Khe Sanh.

Supreme Court says Trump can fire government employees

Daily Signal: If the Supreme Court wants to correct one of the worst decisions of the progressive era, one that violated basic separation of powers principles and vitiated the constitutional authority of the president as head of the executive branch, it will finally overturn Humphrey’s Executor v. U.S. after 90 years of poisoning the government well. If you’ve never heard of the case, don’t be embarrassed. Most people, aside from government wonks and constitutional nerds, haven’t. However, it’s finally being brought to the fore because of President Donald Trump’s firing of government officials at so-called independent agencies , and it’s about time. The Supreme Court just issued a temporary stay of lower court orders in Trump v. Slaughter that told Trump he couldn’t fire Rebecca Slaughter, a commissioner on the Federal Trade Commission. This followed other recent cases in which the justices stayed lower court decisions banning Trump from firing officials such as Gwynne Wilcox...

Al Gore's snooping scheme

DC Daily Journal: ... Privacy is important for Americans. But this ex-VP couldn’t care less. And a former vice president launches a new spy satellite for terrifying surveillance purposes. In a move that’s got privacy advocates and everyday Americans fuming, former Democratic Vice President Al Gore is spearheading a coalition that’s deploying artificial intelligence and a fleet of satellites to snoop on pollution right down to your neighborhood block. This isn’t some sci-fi thriller—it’s real, and it’s aimed at pinpointing emissions from individual homes and backyards worldwide. According to AP , Gore’s outfit, called Climate TRACE, is all about monitoring methane leaks that supposedly trap heat in the atmosphere. But now, they’ve ramped it up big time, expanding to track soot—those tiny particles that pollute the air—on a hyper-local level in over 2,500 cities around the globe. The timing couldn’t be more ironic. Gore unveiled this upgrade mere hours after President Donald Trump ...

The case against the Fed Chair

Newsmax: It's hard to believe that a couple of years ago Time magazine considered naming Federal Reserve Board Chairman Jerome Powell as their "Person of the Year." He may well have won, if it hadn't been for someone named Taylor Swift. Powell has been idolized by the left for one reason: He's been a thorn in the side of President Donald Trump for years. If Trump says "ying," Powell says "yang." Last week Powell finally lowered the federal funds rate, and better late than never. But his speech to the media was a tirade against Trumponomics. He was filled with doom and gloom in his statement, telling global investors that the economy is growing at only 1.6% so far this year and is expected to grow 1.6% next year. What country was he talking about? Afghanistan? Here are the facts: In the second quarter of this year, the U.S. economy grew by 3.3%, and with a few weeks to go in the third quarter, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is forecasting ...

Did UN deliberately sabotage Trump's speech?

This has the appearance of being more than a glitch. There should be an investigation of whoever was supposed to be operating the escalator and the teleprompter. Biden's attacks on Charlie Kirk

Newsmax: President Donald Trump late Tuesday night accused former President Joe Biden's administration of having tried to force conservative leader Charlie Kirk and his organization, Turning Point USA, "out of business" through a wide-ranging election probe led by special counsel Jack Smith. His comments on Truth Social came after Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed earlier in the day that Kirk's organization had been one of the Republican-linked groups targeted by Arctic Frost, the FBI's investigation that began with Smith's electors charge against Trump. "Why was the wonderful Turning Point under INVESTIGATION by 'Deranged' Jack Smith and the Corrupt & Incompetent Biden Administration?" Trump posted on his Truth Social page. "They tried to force Charlie, and many other people and movements, out of business. They Weaponized the Justice Department against Sleepy Joe Biden's Political Opponents, inc...

The Dem assignation cult

Stephen Kruiser: ... Democrats have a disturbing and peculiar affinity for criminals. It's the reason that crime has gotten so bad in blue cities that conservatives are cheering on federal intervention to make things a little less war zone-ish in places like Washington and Chicago. They either believe that all violent felons are poor, misunderstood souls, or they're hoping that all of the bad guys will do the dirty work that they don't have the guts to. I'm leaning heavily towards the latter these days.  Catherine wrote a VIP column yesterday  about the leftist glorification of assassination. Here's a little something from that: There are certain features of this assassination cult. First of all, it is founded on the assumption that the death of a person with whom one disagrees is in and of itself wonderful and admirable. Thus the leftists do not ask whether killing a person like Charlie Kirk or Donald Trump or Brian Thompson will accomplish anything, will make any...

DC has become safe enough for President and Cabinet to have a dinner out

Federalist Wire: ... In a move that showcases his iron-fisted approach to law and order, President Donald Trump stepped out onto the streets of Washington, DC, for a high-profile dinner with top Cabinet members. This marks a triumphant return to normalcy in the nation’s capital, thanks to his aggressive crime-fighting strate...gies that have turned a once-dangerous city into a safe haven. The president chose Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab, a top-tier spot just a stone’s throw from the White House. It’s the first time he’s dined out in DC since kicking off his second term, proving his point that real leadership delivers results. “We’re standing right in the middle of DC, which, as you know, over the last year was a very unsafe place, over the last 20 years it was very unsafe, and now it’s got virtually no crime,” Trump declared to reporters gathered outside, highlighting the dramatic turnaround under his watch. “I wouldn’t have done this three months ago, four months a...

Trump threat to drug traffickers working

Federalist Wire: ... President Donald Trump’s announcement of a second U.S. military strike within two weeks targeting alleged Venezuelan drug traffickers just goes to show his administration’s aggressive stance against international drug cartels. The strike, which killed three “male terrorists” in international waters, was aimed at a vessel carrying “big bags of cocaine and fentanyl,” as Trump stated, emphasizing the operation’s role in disrupting narcotics headed for the United States. The president shared dramatic footage on Truth Social, showing a small boat exploding after a U.S. missile strike, reinforcing his message: “BE WARNED — IF YOU ARE TRANSPORTING DRUGS THAT CAN KILL AMERICANS, WE ARE HUNTING YOU!” Trump’s approach, backed by General Dan Caine’s evidence of the boat’s illicit cargo, reflects a strategic shift toward using military force to combat cartels designated as Foreign Terrorist Organizations, such as Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua. This escalation is justified by...
