Biden does not know much about US history

Becket Adams: ... “ Joe Biden is absolutely correct in saying tonight that January 6 was ‘the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War,’” cheered NBC News’s presidential historian. Well, no. Not quite. An estimated 138 police officers were injured on Jan. 6. Several protesters were also injured. Of the five deaths commonly blamed on the riot, only one, the shooting death of 35-year-old U.S. Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt, occurred as protesters battled law enforcement officials. The other four deaths weren’t the result of any injury sustained during the attack on Congress. ... If Biden is speaking broadly, saying Jan. 6 is the worst overall attack on American democracy anywhere in the United States since the Civil War, well, he’s just plain wrong. There’s the 1898 Wilmington Massacre , in which white insurrectionists overthrew the local biracial government, forcing an estimated 100 black officials from their elected positions and killing somewhere between 60 to 250 black p

CEOs can't defend their opposition to voter integrity measures

Scott Shepard: From the Department of The-Heck-You-Say, it appears that the woke corporate leaders who attacked the Georgia voting-integrity law, some even labeling the state racist for wanting clean and honest elections, had no idea what they were talking about. I know, right? Virtue shouting is uninformed, wrong, offensive and deeply divisive. Who’d’a thunk? By way of reminder: the Georgia voting-integrity law is a simple attempt to increase the honesty of and improve public faith in the state’s elections. The central provision requires voter ID, ID which is provided free in Georgia, and need be renewed only every 8 years. Other provisions expand voting opportunities, as by making ballot-drop locations for early voting permanent for the first time, and by expanding weekend voting. Slow Joe “Jim Eagle” Biden falsely claimed that the bill denies people food and drink in voting lines. Instead, it only forbids campaign workers from bribing voters while they stand in line. Quelle horreur

Democrats make racist attacks on Sen. Tim Scott

Monica Showalter: Tim Scott declares America 'not a racist country,' and leftists step up to the plate to prove him wrong, hurling racist epithets There are a lot of hateful people on the left who will resort to racism if a black conservative speaks.

Mask mania in schools?

Thomas Lifson: School board cancels meeting as parents demand end to masks for kids; parents cite Robert's Rules of Order and elect a new school board Obviously, some are getting fed up with the mask mania.

The liberal myth of 'white supremacy'

Adam Mill: In comparing Nazis to dinosaurs, a movie critic once quipped: “They both make great villains because they’re both scary and extinct.” It’s unlikely we will ever need to build a hidden compartment in our attics to hide from the Gestapo or an electrified fortress to escape an errant tyrannosaurus rex.  Hating and campaigning against Nazis takes zero courage and zero sacrifice in 2021. What products must you boycott to place economic pressure on Nazi Germany? Are you risking your job by refusing to wear a swastika armband? Will your family ostracize you for failing to snap a one-armed salute when Hitler holds a rally in your town?  Yet the Nazis seem to have made a comeback—according to the Department of Homeland Security, the media, and Joe Biden. While self-identifying Nazis tend to be in short supply, organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center have taken to slapping the label “White Supremacist” on any number of replacements who, conveniently, happen to be their pol

Biden's systematic racism meme

Jack Cashill: Although he made up his mind before jury did, President Joe Biden quickly went public once he learned that the Minneapolis jury had, in fact, convicted former police officer Derek Chauvin on all charges. “It was a murder in the full light of day, and it ripped the blinders off for the whole world to see the systemic racism the vice president just referred to — the systemic racism that is a stain on our nation’s soul.” So said the only president to have given a eulogy at the funeral of an Exalted Klan Cyclops, and that just 10 years before Floyd’s death. The comments by Biden, endorsed by the media, frame the Overton window on George Floyd’s death and Derek Chauvin’s verdict. The only acceptable public opinion is that Chauvin intentionally caused Floyd’s death. If proof were needed, former NFL great Brett Favre was tarred and feathered on Twitter for haplessly suggesting otherwise. The only question for debate really is whether Chauvin was a bad apple or a symptom of a r

Directed energy attack against the Trump White House?

American Military News: Federal agents are reportedly looking into a suspected directed energy weapon attack near the White House in November of last year while President Donald Trump was still in office, as well as another suspected attack on a White House staffer the year prior. The suspected November attack took place near the Ellipse, the large oval lawn on the south side of the White House, according to sources for CNN. U.S. Secret Service agents were sickened during the incident, according to multiple current and former officials. Details about the November attack are still limited, but CNN reported defense officials briefed lawmakers on the Senate and House Armed Services Committees on the matter earlier this month. Recent reports have detailed defense officials’ efforts to brief lawmakers about several different incidents of directed energy attacks, including at least one in Syria in the fall of 2020 that sickened several U.S. troops with flu-like symptoms. CNN’s reporting is

Questions raised about Biden battery boondoggle

Washington Free Beacon: Republican senators are working to make the electric battery company President Joe Biden toured to promote his $1.9 trillion infrastructure plan this administration's Solyndra. Biden's promotion of electric battery and bus manufacturer Proterra has struck a nerve on Capitol Hill after the Washington Free Beacon reported that Biden's energy secretary, Jennifer Granholm, still has up to $5 million invested in the company. The administration's $1.9 trillion infrastructure plan includes a $174 billion investment in electric vehicles, as well as plans to replace diesel-powered buses with electric-powered buses—the very product Proterra specializes in. Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) says the conflict of interest created by Biden's visit has the potential to be "even worse than Solyndra," the solar panel company that went bankrupt after receiving hundreds of millions of dollars in government-backed loans from the Obama administration. "Pr

Texas legislature considers bill banning CRT

Breitbart: A school district in Texas hired a “consultant” after the death of George Floyd to propose changes in classroom lessons, but now, a bill in the state legislature may stop “critical race theory” from being taught in schools. The  Texan  reported  on House Bill 3979,  crafted  by Republican State Rep. Steve Toth: The bill tackles a number of educational tactics feared by some Republicans to be nascent trends in the classroom, such as “action civics,” overly political curriculums, and a strain of sociological thought which organizes racism through structural rather than interpersonal terms, translated from academia to popular literacy by bestselling writers such as Ibram X. Kendi and commonly called “critical race theory.” Specifically, the bill would adjust three key areas of education: the state curriculum, classroom education, and training for teachers and other employees. It would require the State Board of Education to include an understanding of the country’s founding do

Chicom preparing for invasion of Taiwan?

Breitbart: Taiwan Foreign Minister Joseph Wu told Sky News in an interview published Wednesday that China’s military forces “seem to be preparing for their final military assault against Taiwan.” Taiwan is a sovereign state with no political ties to the Communist Party that has never in its history been governed by Beijing. The Party nonetheless regards Taiwan as a rogue province under the occupation of “secessionist” forces and has repeatedly vowed to colonize the island. Wu expressed defiance in the face of a prospective invasion from one of the world’s largest militaries. “This is our country, this is our people and this is our way of life. We will defend ourselves to the very end,” he said. “We are trying to safeguard the status quo that Taiwan is a free and democratic country, that Taiwan is not run by China.” Taiwan, officially the Republic of China, became an independent nation in 1949 when nationalist forces under Chiang Kai-shek evacuated China following their defeat at th

Parents organize to fight CRT indoctrination

Fox News: Former professor Carol Swain told " Fox & Friends " on Thursday that parents are organizing across the U.S. against "dangerous" critical race theory in classrooms . CAROL SWAIN: I can tell you that across the country people are pushing back. Parents are organizing, and they should be. And I would encourage whistleblowers to step forward with your information because what is taking place is very dangerous. It is creating a hostile environment for students, as well as teachers and administrators and I know from firsthand experience that if you are in an environment that feels hostile, you cannot be your best self. ... And what they are doing with the critical race theory is pure indoctrination. It’s not teaching young people how to think. In fact, it’s teaching the opposite because if they have questions...and the questions are not politically correct, then they risk getting themselves into trouble. … I think it should fall apart and the man that is cha

Trying to keep up with Biden lies

Power Line: Last night, Joe Biden lied about a range of issues. NRO identifies three of Biden’s deceptions. Phillip Klein  exposes Biden’s falsehood regarding health care. Biden claimed that giving Medicare the power to negotiate lower prices for prescription drugs will “strengthen the Affordable Care Act – expand Medicare coverage and benefits – without costing taxpayers one additional penny.” Nonsense. Klein points out that the Congressional Budget Office has twice concluded that “providing broad negotiating authority by itself would likely have a  negligible effect  on federal spending.” (Emphasis added) Yet, Biden claimed that the supposed savings would be enough to pay for an Obamacare expansion that would cost $200 billion, according to the White House “fact sheet” released earlier in the day. [NOTE: Klein supplemented his comments in  this post .] David Harsanyi  debunks Biden on guns. Biden tried to persuade his audience that gun violence has exploded due to the expiration of

Biden spending spree gets some pushback

Epoch Times: President Joe Biden’s $6 trillion in early-term spending initiatives—his $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that passed with zero Republican votes, along with his proposed $2.3 trillion American Jobs Plan and $1.8 trillion American Families Plan—have drawn sharply critical reactions from Republicans, and more muted criticism from some Democrats, for their lofty price tags. Biden unveiled his newest legislative proposal, the sweeping $1.8 trillion package for families and education, during his first speech to a joint session of Congress on April 28, calling it a “once-in-a-generation” investment that would bring lasting benefits to the economy, expand the middle class, and reduce child poverty. The plan includes $1 trillion in spending on education and child care and $800 billion in tax credits aimed at middle- and low-income families, funded mainly by tax hikes on wealthier Americans. Republicans say the bulk of the $6 trillion proposed spending in Biden’s early term is

Buffett proposes new gas power plant for Texas

Oil Price: Warren Buffett's investment company Berkshire Hathaway has proposed a plan for boosting Texas' energy security: building 10 GW in new natural gas-fired generation capacity. Bloomberg reports that the proposal involves setting up a company that would build the plants and add emergency gas storage to the offer in a bid to help prevent a repeat of this year's energy crisis caused by the unusually cold weather in late January and early February. "We really want to make sure that this never happens again. So we're really wanting to partner with the state," Chris Brown, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Energy Infrastructure Group, told Bloomberg in an interview. "The proposal is simple: state residents should have a reliable source of backup power." Outages in gas-fired power plants were among the culprits for the energy crisis in the Lone Star state. Some blamed exclusively the state's wind generation capacity, which was also affected by the Fr

Biden is his own misinformation machine

Sarah Westwood: Guns, taxes, and the border: Biden’s speech awash in whoppers It is sometimes hard to keep up with all of Biden's lies and we will not be able to rely on the "fact-checkers" of mainstream media because they are tone-deaf to those lies.  However, Westwood has a good start on Biden's misinformation campaign in his speech to Congress.

Satire, Satire, Satire

Jeff Charles: BREAKING: Biden Official Confirms Plans to Ban Fried Chicken and Grape Drink Charles is a black writer who is expanding on the Biden administration's attempt to save blacks from menthol cigarettes.  It is a pretty funny piece. BTW, I too am a big fan of Popeye's chicken sandwich.

Biden is a poor excuse for a President

Washington Examiner Editorial: Joe Biden has been president now for 100 full days. Under normal circumstances, a milestone such as this might occasion an issue by issue evaluation — a laundry list of things Biden has done wrong. We could mention how, by his poor diplomacy, Biden created a new humanitarian crisis at the southern border . We could talk about his embrace of toxic, divisive culture wars and his intentional destruction of girls’ and women’s sports; his appointment of the unqualified abortion fanatic Xavier Becerra to head the federal Department of Health and Human Services; his continued attempts, purely ideological, to make nuns fund birth control and Catholic hospitals provide medically unnecessary transgender services . We could also bring up Biden’s irresponsible scaremongering over COVID-19 vaccinations, which began during his campaign and continued with a needless freeze on Johnson & Johnson’s one-dose vaccine. His exhortations now to get a shot cannot make up f

Biden inflation exploding

Bryan Preston: Joe Biden has been president for 100 days. Wednesday night he called for yet more government spending, on top of the trillions he has already called for and gotten Congress to pass. All told, Biden has called for $6,000,000,000,000 in spending during his first 100 days in office, according to the  New York Times . That’s six trillion dollars — a 6 with 12 zeroes following it like a flock of baby ducks. Except baby ducks are cute and harmless. All those zeroes are not. Divided by 100, Biden has asked America to spend $60,000,000,000 over and above ordinary spending — per day, over the course of his first 100 days. He’s showing no signs of slowing down and has no realistic plans to pay for it. There’s simply no way for the media, let alone the average American citizen, to keep up with all this spending. It’s reached a level surpassing what’s comprehensible. Broadly speaking, the COVID relief bills weren’t mostly about providing relief to Americans suffering from COVID loc

Chicoms accused of spying on reporter in Hong Kong

Epoch Times: Zhen Liang, also known as Sarah, is an Epoch Times Hong Kong edition reporter who was stalked by a suspected CCP (Chinese Communist Party) secret agent on her way to an interview on April 26. Realizing the man had been following her, Liang asked him, “Are you a reporter from Ta Kung Pao?” The man tracking her then ran off. Liang asked him loudly as she ran after him, but the man picked up speed and escaped. Liang said she suspected that the man was a reporter from the Hong Kong pro-communist newspaper Ta Kung Pao because it published an article that slandered The Epoch Times and disclosed her whereabouts. Days earlier on April 24, another man claiming himself to be a delivery worker came to Liang’s home and knocked on her door. Liang asked him several questions, but the man mumbled and spoke incoherently. Liang then asked him directly, “Are you a CCP agent?” The man then left in a panic. Liang is a veteran journalist who is beloved by the Hong Kong public and Chinese-sp

Rep. Boebert reminds the Biden administration of their greatest screw up

Fox News: Without speaking a word, U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert appeared to tell President Biden and Vice President Harris on Wednesday night that she was thinking about their handling of the migrant crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. While seated in the House chamber of the U.S. Capitol for Biden’s address to Congress, Boebert unfurled a Mylar blanket – similar to those seen used by migrants in shelter facilities along the border. ... "Will Biden talk about the cartels that are destroying America? And I’m not talking about the radical left in attendance tonight," Boebert wrote in one post. ... "Biden still hasn’t mentioned the crisis he created at our southern border," she added in a second tweet. ... "Biden’s solution to illegal immigration is amnesty and open borders," she added. ... I agree with Rep. Boebert.  Biden has been a disaster for American citizens.

Biden's ICE nominee opposes the agency he will run?

Washington Examiner: Texas Sheriff Ed Gonzalez is in line to become the next leader of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a federal law enforcement agency that he resisted working with and criticized during the Trump administration. President  Joe Biden   nominated  Gonzalez, the Harris County sheriff, as director for ICE on Tuesday. Gonzalez worked for the Houston Police Department for nearly two decades before becoming sheriff, where he spoke out against ICE, a federal agency that is under the Department of Homeland Security and responsible for detaining and deporting immigrants residing in the United States without permission, as well as carrying out major investigations that relate to homeland security. Gonzalez pulled Harris County out of an ICE program known as 287(g), which allows local law enforcement to be deputized by ICE to carry out federal immigration tasks in their own jails, a move that effectively duplicated ICE officers so that they did not have to be present in cou

Idaho bans Critical Race Theory racism

Breitbart: The Idaho House and Senate have approved legislation that would prohibit schools from compelling K-12 and higher education students to affirm or adopt the tenets of Critical Race Theory (CRT). The bill is now on the desk of Gov. Brad Little (R), awaiting his signature. The Idaho Senate passed  HB 377  with a vote of 27-8, following a 57-12 vote in the state House. ... The text of the legislation states the tenets of CRT “exacerbate and inflame divisions on the basis of sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, national origin, or other criteria in ways contrary to the unity of the nation and the well-being of the state of Idaho and its citizens.” The bill continues: No public institution of higher education, school district, or public school, including a public charter school, shall direct or otherwise compel students to personally affirm, adopt, or adhere to any of the following tenets: (i) That any sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin is inherently super

Biden's super spreader immigration policy

Breitbart: NYT: Coronavirus-Positive Border Crossers Traveling into U.S. After Release by DHS   Border crossers who tested positive for the Chinese coronavirus are continuing to travel into the United States after being released by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the   New York Times   reports. A report by the  Times  notes that President Joe Biden’s administration is still not testing border crossers for coronavirus even as they are released into the U.S. interior. Instead, DHS is only testing border crossers who have obvious coronavirus symptoms. Many border crossers who test positive are skipping out on their quarantine and boarding buses and getting on planes to travel inside the U.S. interior. ... The same people who claimed Trump rallies were super spreader events do not care that illegals with the virus are allowed to travel into the US interior.

Truck driver shortage impacting gas supply in US

Newsmax: The current shortage in gasoline tanker truckers could lead to gasoline outages and/or increased prices this summer, reports the Hill. With potentially millions of people poised to break the pandemic seal on their home’s front door this summer and head out for a road trip, that trip may end up being fuel challenged. While there isn’t a shortage of actual gasoline, there is a shortage of the truck drivers needed to deliver the gas to stations. Early pandemic-related lockdowns as well as business shutdowns caused tanker truck drivers to seek other work because gasoline demand plummeted. "We've been dealing with a driver shortage for a while, but the pandemic took that issue and metastasized it," Ryan Streblow, executive vice president of National Tank Truck Carriers, told CNN Business. The industry's trade group, the National Tank Truck Carriers, said somewhere between 20% to 25% of tank trucks in the fleet are parked heading into this summer due to a paucit

Ted Cruz has low regard for PolitiFacts

Fox News: Sen. Ted Cruz , R-Texas, took PolitiFact to task on Tuesday for rating "False" his claim that Republicans did not try to "rig the game" in the Supreme Court, which he has accused Democrats of doing by seeking to expanding its size to 13. "Lying liars lie & that's what Politi'fact' does every day," Cruz tweeted. "You didn't see Republicans when we had control of the Senate try to rig the game," Cruz is quoted as saying on April 22. "You didn't see us try to pack the court." In the fact check, PolitiFact concluded that Cruz's claim was "false" because Republicans blocked former President Obama's Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland in 2016 following the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, and then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell "raced" to get Amy Coney Barrett confirmed before the 2020 election. Thus, PolitiFact says that Republicans "were able to exercise their pow

FBI ignores Hunter Biden's hard drive

Daily Mail: Rudy Giuliani's son Andrew has accused the Department of Justice of raiding his father's New York apartment and office for political reasons - and claims agents didn't want to take allegedly incriminating evidence involving Hunter Biden. 'Any American, whether you are red or blue, should be extremely disturbed by what happened here today, by the continued politicization,' furious Andrew told reporters in the Upper East Side on Wednesday. 'The only piece of evidence that they did not take up there today was the only piece of incriminating evidence that is in there — and it does not belong to my father, it belongs to the current president's son,' he added. It's not clear what he was referring to, but his father is believed to have visited Ukraine in order to dig up 'dirt' on the Biden family. Giuliani's lawyer Robert Costello blamed the investigation on 'Trump derangement syndrome' and also a accused agents of ignoring
