Houthis engage in terror attack against Saudis exposing another Biden blunder

A month after President Joe Biden’s administration reversed the Trump-era terrorist designation on the Iran-backed Houthis group, the Yemen-based militia has stepped up drone strikes against Saudi Arabian oil facilities.

On Friday, the Houthi militia again struck an oil facility near the Saudi capital Riyadh. The state-run Saudi Aramco refinery was hit by several explosive-laden drones, the pro-Iranian terrorist group claimed. The attack targeting the oil giant Saudi Aramco, the world’s biggest oil company, caused a blaze but did not result in any casualties, the media reports said.

The Iran-sponsored Houthi militia, officially called the “Ansar Allah,” Arabic for ‘fighters for Allah,’ took responsibility for the terrorist attack. “Our armed forces carried out at dawn today an operation… with six drones which targeted the Aramco company in the capital of the Saudi enemy, Riyadh,” Houthi spokesman admitted.

Biden's incompetence and lack of strategic judgment are on display once again.  The Houthis are Iran proxies in Yemen which Iran is using as a base for attack the Saudis and also a potential threat to the oil deliveries through the Suez Canal.  Biden's support of Iranian terror attacks is inexplicable and is certainly not in the US interest.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
