Media calling opinions 'lies'

NY Times:

Trump Repeats an Election Lie to Top Lawmakers

In his first official meeting with congressional leaders, Mr. Trump again falsely claimed that illegal immigrants had cost him the popular vote.
Because Democrats have been trying to thwart the will of the people on Voter ID it is nearly impossible to know for certain whether illegal aliens voted in large numbers.  What they are doing is accepting the opinions of others as true and rejecting Trump's opinion.

This appears to be a concerted effort by liberals in the media to question the credibility of those who disagree with them on issues.  Anyone who says that illegal aliens did not have an effect on the Presidential race is guessing just as Trump is speculating in the other direction.  If they say they know for certain illegal aliens did not vote, they are lying.  They can say that they think they did not effect the race, but they cannot prove it.

The Washington Post gets a little closer to the facts but still is incapable of proving how many illegal votes were cast.
With no evidence, Trump claims that up to 5 million illegal ballots cost him the popular vote

President Trump’s claim to congressional leaders is not supported by any verifiable facts, and analyses of the election have found virtually no confirmed cases of voter fraud, let alone millions.
Because the Democrats block Voter ID in states like California which is registering illegals and giving them drivers licenses There is no way to verify that illegals did not vote.  The fact is that the Post is also speculating.
