Insider describes Facebook procedures that target conservatives

Project Veritas:
Facebook Insider Leaks Docs; Explains “Deboosting,” “Troll Report,” & Political Targeting in Video Interview
Facebook denies the allegations of a former contractor who provided the information to Project Veritas.  There are claims that they try to be fair to all, however, there is no specific response to specific allegations of bias in the Project Veritas.

Project Veritas alleges:

  • Insider, Formerly Responsible for Content Review in Facebook’s Intellectual Property Dept Speaks Out, Loses Job
  • Facebook Engineers Plan to “demote bad content”
  • Conservative Facebook Page Livestreams Secretly “deboosted,” No Notice to Page Owners
  • Facebook Can Classify Users as Trolls Based on Their Vocabulary, Then Punish By Limiting Bandwidth, Blocking Comments…
  • Facebook Engineer: “‘hateful’ content is coming from right-leaning sites.”
  • “Special features” Triggered “leading up to important elections”
  • Bizarre View of “hate speech” Includes Content from Conservative Commentator
I have not personally experienced any of this conduct to my knowledge.  I have seen other conservatives who have complained about being placed in "Facebook jail" for content.  It is not clear to me why these rules are needed.  Facebook users can pretty well screen out content they find offensive.  I have rarely "unfriended" anyone but there are certain people whose content I don't find interesting so I do block a few.
