The data and design thieves of China

NY Times:

A Heist of American Designs as China Bids for Tech Power

Micron, an American chip maker, says its designs were swiped to help a new Chinese plant. Washington sees a larger pattern, fueling tensions with Beijing.
I think that companies who engage in activities like this should be sanctioned and those sanctions should reach beyond the US shores into any country that does business with the thieves.   This activity is part of the negotiation over trade that Trump is engaged in.  China has much to lose in this fight if it is going to defend the thieves.  The US should also seek an indictment of those engaged in the practice and attempt to extradite them from China.
