Washington Examiner: Former Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina is apparently in the running for director of national intelligence, the New York Times reported Monday. Fiorina, who ran Hewlett Packard as CEO in the previous decade, is meeting with President-elect Trump on Monday to discuss the position, according to the Times. Fiorina previously served on the Central Intelligence Agency's External Advisory Board. ... I think she would be a good choice.  She is smart and is familiar with the intelligence operations having served on a civilian advisory committee for the CIA.

In fact she used them as a foil to attack the evils of liberalism and the bias of the media.  She was able to take them on and handle them with ease despite their hostility.  When it comes to sparring with the media she is very good.

While many in the media gave Hillary a pass for her performance at the hearing, her lies did not get past Fiorina who has been a fierce critic of Clinton during the campaign.  The hearings gave her another opportunity to do what she does well that that is criticize Clinton's credibility or lack thereof.

Patti Solis Doyle, who served as Clinton's campaign manager during her failed 2008 White House bid, told CNN's Jake Tapper that the Florida senator is "inspirational" and tops her list of the GOP candidates who scare her in a general election against the former secretary of state. When asked by Tapper who most strikes fear into her, Solis Doyle name-checked Rubio and Ohio Gov. John Kasich. "I think a Rubio/Kasich or Kasich/Rubio is a pretty scary ticket," Solis Doyle said. ... They do not seem to be able to deal with her substantive policy arguments so they attempt to attack elements of her career.   This was their strategy in dealing with Romney, but it may not work with Fiorina who seems to be a tougher fighter.  She has the knack of making them feel uncomfortable about their own prejudices and polices.  She is smart enough to attack those who would never vote for a Republican to begin with.  I like her attacks on Planned Parenthood and Hillary Clinton.  She has also exposed Obama's bad foreign policies.  So Democrats and their media allies would rather talk about her resume.

Washington Post: Carly Fiorina emerges as the right’s new champion on abortion issues Fact checkers say her Planned Parenthood comments in the recent Republican presidential debate were wrong, but they have strengthened the political outsider’s candidacy. The Washington Post fact checkers who questioned her accurate statement that she started as a secretary and went on to become a CEO were laughably misleading in their own analysis of her career.  Their claims about her statements on the Planned Parenthood commerce in abortion by products were more nit picky than substantive.  The substance of her accusation about the use of using living fetuses to harvest the brains was correct whether the video showed the gory details or not.  The Fact Checkers are looking more and more like another vehicle for attacking Republicans they don't like.  They are the oens losing credibility in the process.
