Solar business not so hot--Tesla downsizes residential operations

Tesla declined to comment on which sites it planned to shut down, how many employees would lose their jobs or what percentage of the solar workforce they represent.

Electric car maker Tesla Inc's move last week to cut 9 percent of its workforce will sharply downsize the residential solar business it bought two years ago
I thought this was a bad idea when he did it.  Solar energy is too inefficient and too expensive to depend on.   It is not the first solar operation to falter and most of them are on life support by using government subsidies.
