The Universal injunction scam

Matt Margolis: ... Questioning Assistant Attorney General nominee Brett Shumate, Kennedy systematically dismantled any justification for these sweeping judicial orders. "Mr. Shumate, what's a universal injunction?" Kennedy asked. Shumate explained, "Senator, a universal injunction is an order from a court enjoining the government in a way that goes beyond the parties to the case but applies nationwide or in some cases universally." Kennedy pressed further, asking, "What's the statutory basis for a federal judge issuing an order that affects people other than the parties before the court?" "I'm not aware of a statutory basis, Senator," Shumate admitted. "There is no statutory basis, is there?" Kennedy reiterated. "No, Senator," Shumate confirmed. Kennedy then challenged Shumate to name a Supreme Court ruling that interprets the Constitution to allow such injunctions. "Can you name me that case?" he asked....

Federal Judges off their reservation

Wall Street Apes: @WallStreetApes · 7h Federal Judges are not supposed to be ordering universal injunctions. The DOJ has even been trying to stop this for years “How can a federal judge issue an order that affects everybody else other than those in front of him or her? How is that possible?” “It shouldn't be possible” “I thought that if you wanted to effect parties who aren't in court, you had to file a class action” “That's correct — The Department of Justice makes that argument all the time in our briefs. think in many cases, class actions would be inappropriate” “I read Article 3, which defines judicial power. Where does it mention universal injunction?” “It does not” “Federal judges, you render a decision to a plaintiff or a defendant, but you can't impact people outside of your courtroom other than through a class action.” All of this lawfare should have never been legal to begin with :34 334 4.9K 13K 226K The Supreme Court needs to stop this nonsense. ...

Trump vs. the anti-Trump lawfare

PJ Media: ... In a bold move that should have Democrats and their army of activist attorneys panicking, Trump directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate anti-Trump lawyers and law firms attempting to hamstring his presidency through baseless litigation. The timing couldn't be more critical, with an unprecedented 15 injunctions slapped against presidential actions just last month—far more than Obama or Biden ever faced. The Left's desperation is palpable. After losing the Oval Office, the House, and the Senate in November, they're resorting to their favorite tactic: shopping for activist judges to block crucial executive actions. We've seen this circus play out with injunctions against Trump's birthright citizenship executive order and his use of wartime powers to deport Venezuelan gang members terrorizing American communities. “Lawyers and law firms that engage in actions that violate the laws of the United States or rules governing attorney conduct must be...

Trump responds to Dem lawfare actions

Red State: Some of the country's elite law firms are discovering that their activities as part of the "resistance" during Trump 1.0 and the harassment of Trump and his allies during the interregnum were not all fun and games. Thursday, President Trump signed an executive order stripping powerhouse Democrat and progressive law firm Perkins Coie of all government contracts and supported facilities, like sensitive compartmented information facilities, and suspending the security clearances held by its attorneys; see  Addressing Risks from Perkins Coie LLP – The White House . The reasons given were Perkins Coie's acting as George Soros stormtroopers to knock down voter ID laws, its use of racial and ethnic quotas to hire attorneys, and its role in developing and disseminating the fraudulent Steele Dossier during the 2016 presidential campaign, but mostly for the Steele Dossier.  This follows a similar action taken against another law firm that acts as the legal arm of th...

Dems trying to get Courts to thwart outcome of election defeats

DC  Daily Journal: ... The Democrats were certainly reeling after their huge 2024 elections losses. But now, they’re starting to team up with the long-time Washington, D.C. establishment that is trying to fight back against the Trump administration’s efforts to reform the government and return it to being more transparent for the people. The bureaucratic class does not want this at all, and they will do anything to get in the way of President Donald Trump and his allies. One of the ways they’re seeking to do this is to get the Trump administration stuck in court cases and effectively slow down the Trump administration with constant litigation. Left-wing organizations and old-school bureaucratic suits are suing the Trump administration for everything they announce, especially the big game-changing executive orders concerning illegal immigration and government spending cuts. There is some light for the Trump administration, though. In an appearance on Fox & Friends this pa...

Dem counsel defends Trump against bogus charges

American Action News: Julian Epstein, the former Democratic chief counsel for the House Judiciary Committee, defended President-elect Donald Trump Friday on Fox Business and slammed what he said was the ‘gross abuse’ of justice in Trump’s case. During an appearance on “The Evening Edit,” Epstein said the case was not handled correctly. He said he believed the case never would have occurred had the defendant been anyone other than Trump. The former counsel said he was dismayed over what he called procedural and ethical lapses that marred the prosecution. “This is essentially a gross abuse of the justice system. The unconditional discharge today is the judicial equivalent of saying never mind. They put the country through this for two years, all for naught. It’s an abuse of the legal system because no American ever in the history of this country has been prosecuted on this fact pattern, and your viewers don’t need to know anything else other than that,” Epstein told host Elizabeth ...
