Recalling the president's previous move, Republican Sen. Josh Hawley tweeted Monday Biden should "make amends" and nominate 72-year-old Brown, who retired from the D.C. Circuit in August 2017. ... Sen. Obama also opposed Brown.  It shows you what hypocrites Democrats are when it comes to judicial appointments. The Democrats should consider this opposition if they attack Republicans who oppose a liberal extremist.

Washington Examiner:   Attempt by Democrats to curb Senate filibuster falls short It was a desperate gamble by the Democrats to try to rig the 2022 elections as their best hope for staying in power.  They should be thanking Sinema and Manchin for still having the filibuster when they will be out of power.  I think their fight for changing election laws is also a reflection of how they rigged the 2020 election to sneak Biden over the finish line.

 The  Epoch Times reports that a left-wing dark money group is funding Schumer's attempt to end the Senate filibuster.  Schumer used the filibuster around 350 times to block legislation when Trump was President, but Democrats are desperate to pass a voting law that will make it easier for them to cheat.  The law they are pushing appears to unconstitutionally usurp the power given to state legislatures.  The Democrats think they need to change the law to survive the 2022 election.  National Review: Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer announced Monday that the chamber would debate eliminating the filibuster in the coming weeks if Republicans refuse to join Democrats in passing sweeping voting legislation. While the filibuster was designed to empower the minority party in the Senate, Schumer argued that it now serves to “embarrass the will of the majority,” against the founders’ intentions for legislative procedure. He claimed that Republicans should not be allowed to block the Freedom to Vote Act, using the vehicle of the filibuster, that only further enshrines and expands the American right to vote. Schumer has previously expressed support for altering the filibuster but the statement is his strongest in favor of the idea. ... The Democrat measure is unconstitutional.  The Constitution provides that the state legislature is responsible for the voting procedures.
