Why is income inequality the government's business?
Washington Post Editorial: Government Must Focus on Income Inequality When government tries to focus on income inequality they wind up making the poor poorer. Wealth envy should not be the focus of government policy. The only income inequality the government should address is the fact that government employees now make more than Americans in the private sector. But Obama is not interested in reducing the cost of government or the pay of those working for it. We are not harmed by those making more than we do. Steve Jobs and others who have achieved great wealth have done so by creating products and services that have enriched our lives. Taking money away for them so Obam can invest on failed solar projects and cars people do not want is a way to make us all poorer.
