Venezuela now has its own version of the Iranian Baiji

NY Times:

Armed Civilian Bands in Venezuela Prop Up President

Members of the so-called collectives, or colectivos in Spanish, operate with impunity and will defend their besieged president at all costs, experts say.
I suspect that Maduro probably got the idea from the Iranians who he helps with Venezuelan passports.  Other close ties have also been alleged between the two governments.

The Baiji were the Iranian thugs who were used to suppress the actual reformers in Iran who were protesting the theft of the election by the religious bigots who rule Iran.
