Turks would rather fight Kurds than genocidal ISIS

Washington Post:
Turkey expands strikes against Kurdish militants in Syria and Iraq, threatening to complicate ISIS fight

The strikes, which killed as many as 20 fighters, targeted a group that has played a key role in turning back Islamic State militants and is a component of U.S.-backed forces preparing for an assault on Raqqa.
The Turks under Erdogan appear to be cementing their role as NATO's worst ally.  They would rather fight the people who are fighting ISIS than fight the monstrosity that is ISIS.  I think Erdogan is making the case for Kurdish independence from his Islamist regime.
