Norks unlikely to heed US warnings

Pence warns N. Korea, offering Syrian, Afghan strikes as examples

“Just in the past two weeks, the world witnessed the strength and resolve of our new president in actions taken in Syria and Afghanistan,” the vice president said in Seoul. He said the administration will encourage Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear weapons “through peaceful means,” but “all options are on the table.”
The North Korean leadership thinks it can hunker down in its caves and that the US will not attack its population centers while it threatens US population centers as well as those of its allies.   The US is likely to target strategic assets of the North Koreans, at least initially.
