Man helping Cruz round up delegates, will not run for governor

Washington Post:
Ken Cuccinelli says he will not run for Virginia governor in 2017

The move by the former state attorney general helps clear the field for Ed Gillespie, the longtime GOP strategist and former White House counsel who is preparing to campaign for the office.
Cuccinelli has done an outstanding job helping Ted Cruz put together an unmatched delegate selection process across the country.   He was also a goo Attorney General in Virginia.  He is a talented guy who has a future in Republican administrations.  Gillespie ran a surprisingly strong effort against the current governor.
