Wealthy liberals in Californian need incentives to go green?

LA Times:

California's electric vehicle subsidies are blasted as a giveaway to the rich

This is California's way of subsidizing the one percent with tax payer funds.  The subsidies are evidently needed because the vehicles are too expensive and have such a  limited range.
