The Turks make war against the Kurds fighting ISIL

NY Times:

As Turkey Targets Militants, Kurdish Lands Return to War

A war that had long been stilled by a truce is now threatening to undo an economic turnaround and adding a battlefield to a region already consumed by chaos.
The Turks have become NATO's lousiest allies since the end of the cold war.   They could have easily stopped the ISIL attacks before they started their genocidal attacks on on the Kurds and others, and they only started fighting when it appeared the Kurds were going to defeat ISIL.  They apparently only gave the US air craft a 10 minute warning to clear the area for their first attack on the Kurds.  So far their conduct in the war against radical Islam has been worse than worthless.  As long as Erdogan is in charge they will not be of much help.

Turkey has also been accused of tipping al Qaeda to US trained Syrian rebels who were captured or killed.
