Clinton is not a smart lawyer

She apparently constructed her response before all the facts were in saying things that were easily contradicted. That did great harm to her credibility as a witness and as a candidate.
A good lawyer would have looked at the facts that were known and would likely be discovered and constructed an answer that left her room to not have to back track so much. In that regard her candidacy actually hurt her case, because she was forced to talk before all the evidence was in.
That leaves her looking like a liar or someone with dementia.

...Dean is wrong. If she were even a moderately smart lawyer, she would have recognized the problems of having a private server for potentially classified materials. Also, a smart lawyer would not have given the answers she gave to questions about her use of the server and why she did it.
