Afghan homosexual pedophilia ignored by army
NY Times:
It does point out the diversity of attitudes toward homosexuals by Muslim fanatics. In Syria, ISIL is throwing them off the top of buildings and in Afghanistan homosexual assault on boys is acceptable. The fact is both are wrong and should not be tolerated.
I am reminded of the British officer who stopped the practice of burning widows on their husbands funeral pyre in India which was called sati, by saying he did not care if it was the custom and practice in India, it was his custom and practice to hang those who did it.
This could be a crucial question for the newly maned secretary of the Army who is reported as openly gay. The army position went well beyond just telling troops to ignore it. The army is actually discharging a Green Beret to attacked an Afghan commander for raping a boy. Apparently homosexual pedophilia is OK for Afghan commanders, but not for Catholic Priests. This is taking the multi cultural acceptance to unacceptable means. The army's position on this is as disgraceful as the conduct.U.S. Soldiers Told to Ignore Afghan Allies’ Abuse of Boys
The American military’s policy has been to look the other way on “boy play” by Afghan commanders. One Marine’s father believes it was a factor in his son’s death.
