The myth of 'voter suppression'

 DailyWire:

Harmeet K. Dhillon, founder of the Dhillon Law Group Inc., blasted Democrats’ claims of race-based voter suppression while pointing out the real threat to U.S. election integrity: the federalization of election law.

Dhillon and her law firm are representing The Daily Wire in its legal challenge against the Biden administration’s order mandating that large employers either vaccinate or mask and COVID-19 test all their employees. The Supreme Court stayed the order on January 13 in a major blow to the government. Roughly two weeks later, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration withdrew the rule to reassess its implementation.

Dhillon is set to appear on “The Ben Shapiro: Sunday Special” episode airing Sunday, January 30. During the episode, Dhillon and host Ben Shapiro cover topics from the Supreme Court’s recent decision to stay President Joe Biden’s vaccine order for large employers and conservatives’ reluctance to engage in “lawfare” with Democrats.

When the conversation drifted to election law, Dhillon said prior efforts to federalize election processes contributed to “some of the disasters that we saw in the 2020 election.” Democrats succeeded in changing election laws in 2020 in a variety of states over the outbreak of COVID-19.

“Some of the practices that we saw in the 2020 election were truly outrageous,” Dhillon said. “They included, but are not limited to, without legislative input changing the rules for submitting absentee ballots in states like Wisconsin, which has some specific regulations about that; just simply ignoring those and allowing people to submit ballots who are not entitled to under state law; concealing from observers what happened in the counting rooms, creating doubt in the public.”

The conservative attorney also pointed to instances of voter fraud, and said that there has been a widespread failure by officials to clear state voter rolls of ineligible voters.

“The biggest aspect of what I would call voter fraud right now is the failure to purge the voter rolls in our states and the fact that people are freely allowed to, because of lack of enforcement, register in multiple states. Are people voting in multiple states? We actually do have instances of that. Are there instances of that at the level that would change the outcome of the 2020 election? I can’t say that,” Dhillon said.

“There is voter fraud. We have to guard against it,” she continued. “We have to stop federalizing our elections, for starters, and we have to have activism in the states to make sure that stronger voter laws are passed at the state level that protect against this.”
...
There is more.

Democrats want to do away with voter integrity measures and make it easier to cheat.  They also object to updating the voter roles to remove the dead.  I do not consider stopping the dead from voting as voter suppression, but apparently, Democrats do.
