The false argument of the left on "sending their sons to die"

A caller to Rush Limbaugh just repeated a phrase that the left seems to think has some emotional appeal in their opposition to the war. He in effect said he did not want to send his son to die in Iraq.

This is an absurd argument. Would he want to send him to die defending the capitol steps? My guess is no. I know I would not want to send my son to die anywhere, but I would be proud of him if he decided to go fight to defeat our enemies and make them die for their cause.

As a former Marine officer that served in Vietnam I still believe that defeating the communist in Vietnam was a worthwhile objective and I do not regret my service. My son is also a former Marine and I was proud of his service. I would never dishonor him by using him as a crutch for not doing what is right and what is in the best interest of the country.

The use of force is not just about going out somewhere to die. It is about defeating enemies who want to kill or coerce all of us into submission to their will. What that caller does not comprehend, nor do most Democrats comprehend, is that leaving Iraq before the enemy is defeated is not going to end the enemy's war against us. It is going to change the battle space and give him more resources for his next attack.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
