Democrat led cities lead in homicides

Homicides Have Skyrocketed in These Six Democratic Cities; Black People Are Disproportionately the Victims, Data Shows
  • The number of homicides in six major cities across the country has increased compared to last year, disproportionately affecting black people, according to crime data.
  • “We are seeing an uptick in violent crime across the country, specifically gun violence,” Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava told The New York Times.
  • In Chicago, black people have been the victims of roughly 81 percent of the 317 murders in the first six months of 2021, data shows. They were the victims of about 70 percent of the 295 murders committed in the first six months of 2020.
  • “I am proud to lead a City Council that took the first step to responsibly reduce Baltimore’s budget dependence on policing,” former Baltimore City Council President Brandon Scott, who is now the city’s mayor, said after the council voted to strip funding from the city’s police last year, the Baltimore Sun reported.

No city is crime-free, but other cities are doing far better, and wouldn’t you know it, they’re doing far better thanks to the fact that it doesn’t infantilize and disarm its own citizens. Case in point, here’s a fun video that emerged from Dallas, Texas, where a man attempted to carjack someone but suddenly found out that his intended victim was, in fact, Texan.

Notice the government doesn’t show up till the end of the video, and that’s because the government can only do so much to prevent crime. In the heat of the moment, it’s the citizen that is the citizen’s best defense, and the citizen in the video had the best means of defense on hand. The tables turned in an instant, and all the officer had to do was arrive and make an arrest while the law-abiding, gun-owning citizen went on his merry way.

The problem in Democrat-controlled states is that they disarming the innocent and give the criminals a free shot at them.  It is super clear that disarming the innocent does not solve the crime problem.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014.
