The failure of climate change models to accurately predict warming is reason for skepticism

Washington Post:
Trump’s skepticism of climate science echoes across GOP

The Republican Party, whose leaders once largely accepted the reality of climate change, is following the lead of a doubtful president.
Projections of future events are a routine matter in several businesses.  For example, a retailer with several stores will project future earnings based on same-store sales.  If the projections are not met it is because one or more assumptions were invalid.  They usually can spot exactly which assumptions were wrong.

The alleged climate scientists who make similar projections struggle to explain why their models have been so inaccurate.  They can't tell you which of their assumptions on which the model was based was invalid.  I suspect that it is because they are putting too much weight on the impact of CO2.  But if they admitted that it would make it harder for them to justify their control freak policies against the fossil fuels business.

The skepticism is further enhanced by the increasingly shrill and dire predictions which appear to be made regularly despite the failure of their models.
