California regulators see higher fuel prices as a feature not a bug in new restrictions

AP/Fuel Fix:

California regulators to restore emissions-cutting fuel rule

California regulators are poised to restore a first-in-the-nation climate change program that requires a 10 percent cut in carbon emissions on transportation fuels sold in the state by 2020, despite oil industry objections that it could drive up gasoline prices.
They want to make it more expensive to drive. That is the main point of the regulation.  Fewer people driving is one of the ways they will reach their target.  One thing you should know about liberals and their fixation on "climate change"--they do not care how much it cost consumers.  They just don't care and if they care at all it is seen as a benefit.   They do not care that those hurt the most by their regulations are the poor and the middle class.  These regulations are a regressive tax on the poor and liberals do not care.
