Spain arrest 5 more al Qaeda suspects

Associates of the al Jazeera reporter were arrested in Sapin.

"Spanish police arrested five people of Syrian origin on Thursday for suspected ties to al Qaeda, including a highly trained guerrilla prepared to commit a major suicide attack, police sources said.

"A separate source involved in the investigation said some of the suspects were linked to a journalist for Arab TV network Al Jazeera who is already charged in Spain with belonging to the militant group led by wealthy Saudi exile Osama bin Laden."

The Chicago way

Eric Daugherty @EricLDaugh · 1h NOW: JD Vance absolutely decimates Gov. JB Pritzker "Governor Pritzker will talk a lot about how bad Donald Trump is, about how bad I am, and about how bad the administration is. He is the governor of a state that where its biggest city has murder rates that rival the most violent places in the THIRD WORLD!" "WHY is he so mad at Donald Trump for trying to keep Chicagoans safe? He should be mad at the CRIMINALS that he has failed to keep at bay. Chicago could be so much better if it had more responsible leadership. Democrats in Illinois don't appear up to the job.

The plot to kill George W. Bush

DC Daily Journal: Politics can be a dangerous game. But it should never cost you your life. And now the FBI uncovered an assassination plot that left one Republican shellshocked. Shihab served as a gunrunner for al Qaeda during the Iraq War. According to federal prosecution records, he carried weaponry from Syria into Iraq and smuggled explosive-packed vehicles that were arranged as traps a...

The news rippled across financial markets, with the yen and gold advancing as stocks declined. “It seems today’s spike is just a knee-jerk reaction to the missile strike,” said Thomas Pugh, a commodities economist at Capital Economics. “Syria produces little oil itself so the spike probably reflects the risk of increased tensions between the U.S. and Russia or Iran.” Oil had struggled to extend a rally beyond $51 a barrel as concern over surging U.S. supplies countered optimism around a possible extension to production cuts led by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. The strike aga...
