Scalise says Democrats don't just hate Trump, but also hate the 63 million who voted for him

Washington Examiner:
Democrats erupted in the House chamber after GOP Rep. Steve Scalise accused them of pushing forward on impeachment because they "hate" the nearly 63 million Americans that voted for President Trump.

Scalise delivered his remarks on the House floor Wednesday during the debate leading up to a vote on two articles of impeachment against Trump. Scalise defended the president and accused Democrats of impeaching Trump over policy disagreements and for personal reasons.

"You don’t impeach a president because you don’t like his foreign policy," Scalise said. "But this isn’t just about Donald Trump. They don’t just hate Donald Trump, Madam Speaker. They hate the 63 million Americans who voted for this president, the forgotten men and women of this country who have been left behind."

The chamber erupted in boos as Democrats rejected Scalise's comments. The speaker was forced to gavel the chamber back to order before Scalise could finish his remarks.
...
They may boo his remarks but they got not one Republican vote for their coup attempt.  And on the streets, various Democrats have physically assaulted Trump supporters especially if they are wearing MAGA hats.  They have done at Trump rallies and they have done at restaurants and bars across the country.  I have not heard one Democrat politicians speak out against these assaults.  Scalise was also a victim of violence by a Democrat who tried to kill him.
