Attempted Trump assassin pledges $150,000 'reward'

 The Federalist Wire:

...

On Monday, Donald Trump Jr. voiced strong concerns after the Department of Justice (DOJ) made public a letter from Ryan Wesley Routh, a man accused of attempting to assassinate former President Donald Trump. The letter allegedly offers a $150,000 reward for anyone who successfully completes the task of k*lling Trump.

“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you,” Routh allegedly wrote in the letter, which was released by the DOJ during a pretrial detention hearing for Routh.

“I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whoever can complete the job.”

While the Justice Department argues that releasing the letter will help both the defense and the court, Trump’s eldest son sees the move as a reckless one. Speaking to The Daily Wire, Donald Trump Jr. expressed his outrage at what he believes is an unnecessary risk to his father’s safety.

“For the life of me, I do not understand why the Kamala-Biden DOJ is publicly releasing a letter from Ryan Wesley Routh announcing a $150,000 bounty on my dad’s head,” Trump Jr. said. “They’re putting his life even more at risk with this reckless decision.”

The attempts on Trump's life have at least led to the Secret Service and DOJ beefing up his protective team.  He is now apparently getting about the same protection as that of the president.  Irrational Trump hatred appears to have driven this guy to the dark side.
