Trump's growing support from unions

 Red State:

In a completely unprecedented and historic move, the Teamsters -- after decades of supporting Democrats -- decided not to endorse Kamala Harris or anyone else. But on top of that, they also released the results of two polls of their members, an online poll and a phone poll. Both showed the members overwhelmingly supporting former President Donald Trump.
...

The online poll was 59.6 percent for Trump and the phone poll was 58 percent. Both had him far ahead of Harris.

One would have to think that's a very positive indication in places like Pennsylvania and the other Rust Belt states, combined with what we've seen from the voter focus groups and media canvassing. Not to mention the Gallup poll that shows Trump more popular than Harris.
...

The Teamsters wasn't the only union where the rank and file were also weighing in for Trump.

Here's Bob Bartels, the business manager of Steamfitters Local 638. He says 70 percent of his members also voted for Trump.

Fox News commentator Brian Kilmeade asked him why, and Bartels hit him with a litany of reasons including the economy and illegal immigration in New York City.

Then there were the members of the UAW. While the officials endorsed Harris, Brian Pannebecker of Autoworkers for Trump said he was doing rallies with autoworkers every week in the Detroit area.
...

He said that 65-70 percent of the UAW workers were supporting Trump "Because the very existence of our industry is at stake." "It's an existential threat if Kamala Harris is elected president," he said. One might even say it could be a "bloodbath." He brings up how Harris wants to get rid of gas-powered vehicles by 2035. "That will completely annihilate the domestic auto industry," Pannebecker said.
...

Trump is also getting support from members of the Hollywood union.  It looks like the Biden economy is one of the reasons for the Union's support.  Inflation is probably one of the main reasons.   Biden's reckless spending triggered the inflation which reduced the purchasing power of those on a fixed income.  BTW, the Democrats in Congress also supported the reckless spending.

A Trump supporter explained, “The economy,” he replied. “Getting the interest rates down. Getting it where we can afford to live in America. Right now, it’s too expensive.”
