U.S. launches airstrikes against ISIS in Tikrit

U.S. officials see the offensive in the city as being complicated by the presence of Iranian advisers on the battlefield and the potential for civilian casualties.
Complicated is a nice way of saying we are giving Iran a front row seat for how the US conducts close air support operations.  I am sure they appreciate the intelligence value of watching this up close  while they will claim credit if it looses the grip of ISIL.
