Zimbabwe talks are 'deadlocked'

One of the reasons I have not posted much on the talks is I felt it was inevitable that there would be a break down at some point. The chance that Robert Mugabe will negotiate in good faith is remote.

Meanwhile inflation has not found a top. $1 is worth 256 billion Zimbabwe dollars. The mind boggles and some no longer even try to keep track.

  1. In the South African press, these talks were hailed as a "major victory" for "silent diplomacy", and comments were made about "the West's methods in Iraq that are not working."

    Now it all falls apart in typical African fashion...
