Trump support from independents and Latinos surges

Former President Donald Trump appears to have made remarkable gains of about 14 points among independents and 19 points with Latino voters relative to Vice President Kamala Harris in a new poll.

Trump, 78, jumped ahead of Harris with a three-point lead among independents in a multi-candidate contest, 49% to 46%, gaining significant ground since the August poll in which he trailed Harris, 59, by 11 points, 48% to 37%, according to fresh polling from NPR/PBS News/Marist.

In between the August and September polls, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — who notched 12% support in the prior survey — dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump. Additionally, Harris’ “honeymoon” from her abrupt ascension to the nomination appears to have begun leveling out.

Among Latino voters, Trump took a four-point lead, with 51% support to Harris’ 47%, in a dramatic turnaround from August, when Harris held a 15-point lead, 54% to Trump’s 39%.

Harris has a lot of media support and Trump does not.  But if you compare the economic factors America was much better off under Trump than under the Biden-Harris regime.  The reckless spending by the Democrats caused significant inflation, which the country is still feeling the effects of.  It is my opinion that Harris is not very smart or articulate.  Trump is sometimes seen a brutally frank in his speeches and that apparently bothers some voters.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014.
