Biden says Secret Service needs more help

President Joe Biden expressed his relief on Monday after news broke of a second assassination attempt targeting former President Donald Trump, praising the U.S. Secret Service for their efforts while stressing that the agency “needs more help.”

Speaking to reporters outside the White House, Biden was asked about the recent attempt on Trump’s life, which took place on Sunday in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Ryan Routh, the man responsible for the attempt, was apprehended after Secret Service agents spotted a gun barrel protruding from a fence just 300-500 yards from Trump as he played golf.

“Thank God the president is okay,” Biden said, voicing his relief over Trump’s safety. He further emphasized the need for additional resources for the Secret Service, stating, “One thing I want to make clear is, the service needs more help. And I think Congress should respond to their need.”

There have been other reports indicating that the Secret Service has been getting the Homeland Security Department to work on protecting Trump. That seems odd that they would do that after there have been two attempts on Trump's life.  Congress would at least be investigating why the Secret Service is incapable of defending Trump from attacks.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare
