The Times already has run an embarrassing op-ed trying to blame Walker for teacher layoffs before he took office. People should expect better of the Times. The paper appears to be living down to its reputation with conservatives.
Spending on higher education has outpaced inflation for decades for no apparent reason other than the inability of administrators to restrain themselves. They have turned into predatory lenders to unsophisticated borrowers, i.e. students, in order to allow many of them to live like the top one percent.
