China tries to borrow its way out of trade war problems

As Trade War Intensifies, China Moves to Bolster Its Economy

Weak growth puts Beijing at a disadvantage in dealing with the White House.

But more spending and lending could worsen the country’s addiction to debt.
China needs to work a deal that is mutually beneficial.  It will have to include fair treament of US companies and removal of impediments to free trade.
