In typical polling from Pew in 2022, just 7 percent of the public thought high school grades should not be a factor in college admissions and a mere 14 percent thought standardized test scores should not be a factor. But an overwhelming 74 percent thought that race or ethnicity should not be a factor in college admissions.

The Supreme Court is hearing a case on college admissions and it would not be surprising if the court ruled against "affirmative action" admissions.  I think such a ruling would also impact the current "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion race-based admissions and hiring.  That would reinstate merit as the basis for job and entry.  The left's war on merit deserves to lose.
