Big Tech and American media lied about the Hunter Biden laptop to help Democrats win an election

Brian Cates:

If you limit your news reading to only the U.S. corporate media, you miss a lot.

For instance, you likely missed hearing anything about this explosive story in the UK’s Daily Mail last week about how forensic experts have proven the Hunter Biden laptop contents were not faked.

The corporate news media and the big tech social media conglomerates made extensive efforts to blunt the impact of the emerging laptop scandal so it wouldn’t affect the outcome of the fast-approaching 2020 presidential election.

The popular media take is that their censorship worked beautifully: Trump was voted out and Biden won handily.
It Was Bound to Happen: The Return of the Biden Laptop Scandal

The big question that’s been looming ever since last November is this: What happens when the laptop scandal resurfaces again, as it’s doing now?

Some people seem to think this situation is going to remain in stasis for the next four years. Every time more of the laptop’s awful contents are revealed, Joe Biden laughs loudly when a reporter dares to ask him about it and says, “C’mon man! That’s Russian disinformation!” and the corporate news media will obediently drop the issue.

I’m not sure that expectation is correct.

Last month I commented about how the federal investigation that is targeting Hunter Biden hasn’t ended yet. Which is strange, if the conventional wisdom is accurate, that the investigation was only started back in 2018 to protect the Biden family. Joe Biden is safely in the White House now. What would the FBI be waiting for?

If the investigation into Hunter Biden has been subsumed by politics—as is widely assumed—why haven’t the people running it made defensive leaks on behalf of the Bidens?

Wouldn’t there have been leaks to the media from inside the FBI about how “we’re not finding anything” and “after two years it’s time to end this, we’re wasting our time, there’s nothing here”?

Instead, there have been no leaks from any of the investigators involved.

You know why that’s strange?

We already know what a politicized group of political partisans at the FBI or in a special counsel’s office would look like.

Because we’ve spent over four years seeing evidence declassified regarding the FBI’s handling of the Crossfire Hurricane “counter-intelligence” investigation and the Mueller special counsel’s handling of the Gen. Michael Flynn case.

If the people in the FBI running the Biden investigation or in Durham’s special counsel’s office were political partisans, they’d also be leakers. Regular leakers who would be using media allies to drive certain political narratives centered around their designated targets, either to shield those targets or to arouse suspicions against them.

Well pardon me if I keep pointing this out: The people handling the federal investigation of Hunter Biden and those working with Durham since April 2017 investigating Spygate don’t leak anything. Regularly or otherwise.

Durham’s people and the FBI’s Biden investigators don’t leak anything to the media about any of the central figures of their probes. There have been no leaks about James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Hunter Biden, Tony Bobulinski, or anyone else involved in these investigations.

That’s because the investigations are real, and they aren’t being run by political partisans, and they will conclude and announce their findings at the proper time.

Given the nature of the kind of behavior that we know Hunter Biden has been engaging in for years, the fact nothing is leaking from the investigation into him is remarkable.

I can’t tell you how ironic it is that after five years of the mainstream media trying to nail Don Jr. on something, anything, this has now happened: Hunter’s abandoned laptop allegedly has videos on it he apparently made of himself with multiple prostitutes.

And now all the corporate media outlets that engaged in deliberate conspiracy to hide the laptop scandal are now—like Hunter in many of these shocking videos and pictures—caught with their pants down.

The mainstream corporate media has blithely moved on from helping to launch and drive numerous fake Trump family scandals to enthusiastically covering up Biden family scandals.

The end result of all of this was that when it was vitally important for the American public to know the truth about the family that was seeking to enter the White House, the American corporate media conspired among themselves to deliberately suppress and hide a genuine political scandal in order to influence the 2020 presidential election.

One of the things I have noticed about the left in the last five years is that when they are in trouble they either blame the Russians or racism for their troubles.  From the Russian collusion hoax to Hunter's laptop they push unfounded Russian conspiracies.  They use Critical Race Theory to push their racial grievance industry.  Biden has appointed people who are supposed to represent America who instead falsely accuse it of being racist.

The mainstream media have been active participants in the politics of fraud as practiced by Democrats and too many in Big Tech are willing to suppress truthful reporting about Democrat corruption.

We now know that some of the same people in the media who pushed the Russian collusion hoax for the Democrats were also responsible for the false allegations that the Russians were paying bribes to the Taliban to kill Americans.  So far the media mavens have not given themselves an award for that particular fraud.

Hunter is now trying to blame his efforts at monetizing his father's connections on "Russian disinformation."  It has become an all-purpose lie.

He was briefly asked about these business efforts on the Daily Beast’s The New Abnormal podcast, published on Friday, when left-wing pundit Molly Jong-Fast referenced a series of emails from 2017 that were found in the laptop and hard drive believed to have belonged to Biden, saying the conversation "involved China’s largest private energy company.” She asked about the emails in which “renumeration” was discussed, along with Hunter’s proposed pay of “850” (or $850,000), as well as a separate email in which Biden told a Chinese businessman that a potential deal was “interesting for me and my family.”

Jong-Fast asked, "Do you remember this, and does this ring any bells?”

“I literally don’t know what you’re even referring to. Is it from me?” Biden replied.

Jesse Cannon, the podcast’s producer, responded, “This email is sent by you, and it does refer to these things though.”

Biden steered away from the question and sought to pin it on a Kremlin conspiracy, but in doing so, he contorted a specific finding of a recent U.S. intelligence report that related to him.
