Democrat protests are unpopular with voters and Biden's lack of leadership will hurt him

Washington Post:

Trump intensifies rhetoric against protests, seeking an election edge

Campaign aides said that harsh remarks about unrest in cities is part of an attempt by President Trump to win suburban voters and convince Americans that violence in cities is Joe Biden’s fault — not his.
Local Democrats have handled the riots poorly and failed to stop them, and Biden has been mostly mute about them.  The Democrats thought the riots were a good political tool and used the term chaos to describe things at their convention in hopes of blaming Trump.  Voters are not buying that and they know that local Democrat officials have refused help from Trump in dealing with the lawless Democrats.  With polls showing that voters are fed up with the Democrat riots, Biden finally had to condemn them.  Up until then, the Democrats acted like Antifa did not exist.

It should also be noted that Kamala Harris supported the riots and said they would continue.

Not that long ago, Democrat Vice President nominee Kamala Harris was on The Late Show. This segment bears paying close attention.
Two things are obvious from this. First, Harris is personally sympathetic to the rioters and finds it amusing that American businesses are being burned and law-abiding Americans assaulted on the street. Second, she wants this crap to continue because if furthers some political or personal goal of hers.
Kamala Harris is not taking an exotic position here. It is very, very obvious that the Democrats see mob violence in our streets as a net positive. Not only are they fully in sync with the Marxist stormtroopers looting and burning, they see the mob violence as a way of suppression popular opposition to their policies (READ Rep. Ayanna Pressley Calls for ‘Unrest In the Streets’ Targeting Republicans, MSNBC Host Giddily Nods Along). They are fully on board with using these riots as a tool to fundamentally alter our system of government. At no level of the Democrat party will you find condemnation of the riots or the violent thugs who are leading them. They may chirp sympathetically about the people whose livelihoods have been destroyed but they always come back to supporting the goals of the rioters. In every city where these riots have taken hold, you find an administration that actively hamstrings efforts by law enforcement to end them and a refusal to prosecute rioters for even the most egregious offenses.
