Poll indicates large majority concerned about crime following Democrat riots

Red States:
So what do Americans really think about all the increase in violence and how is that going to affect the elections?

A new poll out indicates that this showing is not good news for Democrats and Joe Biden. The Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll contacted 1,932 registered voters on July 21-23.

According to the poll, 77% are concerned about rising crime. In poll numbers, that’s an astronomical percentage.

Now, normally one would think that an increase in crime would be bad for the incumbent, Donald Trump.

But the poll also indicates that Americans are hip to what’s been going on.

From PJ Media:

“At the same time they see an increase of violence and crime and are concerned that prosecutors are not prosecuting the crimes — they blame the protests and the high unemployment when asked what is responsible for the spike in violence,” said Harvard CAPS/Harris polling director Mark Penn. “They also single out social media for being used to coordinate violence and in their view not doing much to curb it.”
Shootings and murders are spiking in cities like New York and Chicago and people are noticing. They’re seeing protesters/rioters venturing into suburbs and touching their neighborhoods. They’re seeing how prosecutors in some of the cities are largely letting people go, such as in St. Louis under Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner. They’re seeing crazy pushes to defund the police that they think are making it all worse, such as in Seattle and Minneapolis and New York, and cutting units that dealt with gun crime such as in New York City with the anticrime unit....
It looks like Democrats are starting to lose the middle.  This is another poll that shows large majorities favoring the concerns of Trump and Republicans.  The horse race polls have not reflected this trend so far.  But it is an indicator that perhaps Trump voters are still shy when talking to pollsters because of the hostility of the left.
