Media loves to be a critic of Trump, but can't take the counterpunches

NY Times:
He was at it again.

At 3:14 a.m. on Friday, President Trump was awake and tweeting.

“Funny how lowly rated CNN, and others, can criticize me at will, even blaming me for the current spate of Bombs and ridiculously comparing this to September 11th and the Oklahoma City bombing,” he wrote, “yet when I criticize them they go wild and scream, ‘it’s just not Presidential!’”

He tapped that one out as federal authorities were investigating the 12 pipe bombs mailed to the billionaire George Soros, Democratic politicians, Robert De Niro and CNN. Hours later, Mr. Trump’s tweet was national news.

“President Blames Media For Attempted Bombs,” read the onscreen chyron on “Good Morning America” as an ABC News correspondent, Jonathan Karl, briefed the anchor George Stephanopoulos on the president’s latest digital sortie from the still-dark White House lawn.

So began Day 645 of a presidency that has made denigrating the news media one of its identifying features.

What the media would like is that Trump be a stoic punching bag for their attacks.  Make no mistake the media has attacked him with some of the most vicious and unfair stories in an attempt to get him removed from office and now they whine that he fights back.  They seem to think it is unfair for him to push back against their bias.  Because they are mostly liberals who hated him before he was attacking them they may not even be self aware of their tendancy to blame him for the acts of others.

The media mostly coddled Obama and even defended his lies to pass a much hated health care law.  They seem to think it was OK for Obama to use the IRS to attack political opponents.  Fast and Furious, a scheme to provide weapons to the Mexican cartel was just a good old liberal attempt to use the media to get gun control legislation and thwart the 2nd Amendment.  Now Obama brags about not having anyone in his adminsitration indicted, but that was just because Holder would not allow it.  If Hillary Clinton had been anyone besides the Democrat nominee she would have been indicted for mishandling classified material and for the obstruction of justice by destroying subpoenaed material.

The lack of self-awarenss by the media and their double standard is one of the reasons why Trump supporters are glad the media is being held to account for unfair attacks.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014.
