Feds aren’t protecting pipelines from cartels, Texas regulator says

The feds aren’t doing enough to keep smugglers using pipeline rights-of-way from posing a threat to state inspectors, oil field workers or the pipelines themselves, a state regulator charged Friday.

The cartels are using the pipeline right of ways as a passageway around Border Patrol stops on the highway and are a danger to the pipelines and the crews who look after them.
