Romney, GOP court Jewish voters

NY Times:

Republicans Intensify Drive to Win Over Jewish Voters

In battleground states like Florida, Ohio and Nevada, Republicans are trying to persuade Jewish voters who might typically be expected to support Democrats to vote for Mitt Romney.
For Jews for whom Israel's survival is important, there are reasons to vote Republican this time.  But they have to overcome their affinity for liberalism that has had them under their sway for decades.   Obama has lost support among Jewish voters.  It could make a difference is Florida and Ohio.  New York is still a hopeless basket cases of liberalism.  It is too bad because it is making many New Yorkers poorer.
