Eelction attacks demonstrate failure of insurgents

Al Qaeda's group in Iraq said 13 of its suicide bombers were involved in a string of attacks against election centers in Iraq Sunday, according to an Internet statement.

"Thirteen lions from the martyrs brigade of the Al Qaeda Organization for Holy War in Iraq launched attacks on the centers of infidelity and apostasy (polling stations) in various regions of Iraq," said the group led by al Qaeda's leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

"Other brigades of the organization launched at least 30 rockets inside the Green Zone and some polling stations and all Sunni areas saw confrontation today," the statement said.

Militants struck mainly in Baghdad, rocking the capital with nine suicide blasts in rapid succession.

In earlier Internet statements the group said it was behind seven attacks on polling stations and U.S. forces in Iraq's northern city of Mosul Sunday, as well as an unspecified number of attacks on other polling stations.

Is that the best they can do? This is an extremely weak response to the elections. Zarqawi and bin Laden had both made the elections the most important event inthe war and out of two billion Muslims they can only comne up with 13 suicide bombers. In the "war of ideas" suicide does not seem to be a winner. Why does Ted Kennedy want to retreat in the face of this weak insurgency? Is he that desperate to see the US lose?

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
