Chechnya quagmire

Reuters via NY Times:

Heavy fighting raged in a region near Russia's Chechnya early on Tuesday after heavily-armed rebels launched attacks on several key points including the interior ministry building, Russian news agencies reported.

Itar-Tass news agency said there were dead and wounded from the fighting that broke out after rebels launched coordinated attacks late on Monday night in Nazran, capital of Ingushetia that borders Chechnya.


They cannot blame this one on Bush without a little more creativity.
