Trump expected to use military in mass deportation effort
...
President-elect Donald Trump took to Truth Social early Monday morning to confirm his administration’s plans to declare a national emergency and utilize military resources to initiate a sweeping deportation of illegal immigrants.
The announcement came as a direct response to a post by Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch and a prominent conservative commentator.
“GOOD NEWS: Reports are the incoming @RealDonaldTrump administration prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program,” Fitton posted.
“TRUE!!” Trump replied, quoting Fitton’s post and leaving no room for ambiguity about his intentions.
Trump’s pledge to deport illegal immigrants residing in the United States was a cornerstone of his campaign platform, resonating strongly with his base.
According to a previous report by the Washington Examiner, the president-elect promised to “deport more illegal immigrants from the United States than any of his predecessors.”
To spearhead this initiative, Trump named Tom Homan, former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as the administration’s “border czar.”
Homan, a vocal advocate for stricter immigration enforcement, outlined the administration’s priorities during recent appearances:
“President Trump’s been clear; public safety threats and national security threats will be the priority because they have to be. They pose the most danger to this country,” Homan said, emphasizing that his focus would be on individuals who have defied deportation orders issued by federal immigration judges.
...
There are over a million illegals who have defied deportation orders and would be the first targets. But that would be just a start. The number of illegals exploded during the Biden administration as he and Mayorkas opened the borders. Illegals were flooding in from both Mexico and Canada coming from hundreds of countries around the world. Some countries were actually tempting their prison population so they could come to America. Some Americans have been murdered by the released convict.
